Dr. Catherine “Kate” Steinbock has been a resident of Goshen county since 1997 and serves as the Chair for the Arts, Humanities, Social & Behavioral Sciences Division at Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) where she has been a professor in the Early Childhood and Elementary Education Programs for the past 14 years. Prior to accepting the position at EWC Kate worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Nursing-Scottsbluff campus as the director of student services.
Kate is a graduate of the University of Wyoming and Sheridan College. Her Bachelor’s degree is in Family and Consumer Science and her Master’s degree is in Adult Education and Instructional Design. Recently she earned a Doctorate of Education degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Wyoming.
In addition to serving on the Torrington City Council and her work at EWC, Kate is also actively engaged in the Goshen County Schools as an Assistant Volleyball Coach for Southeast High School. Kate feels fortunate to be able to raise her children in a community like Torrington.
