Temporary Streets and Sanitation Worker:

The City of Torrington Streets and Sanitation Dept. is accepting applications for a Temporary Streets and Sanitation Worker. This is offered as a temporary position with the potential for full-time employment. Duties include, but not limited to, maintenance of roads, alley, and city facilities including storm response.  Must have the ability to use all types of hand and power tools including operation of power equipment.  Minimum qualifications include High School Diploma/GED, CDL Class A driver’s license preferred but Class B driver's license required along with small (water) tanker experience and ability to operate heavy equipment.  The City of Torrington offers an excellent benefit package.  Wage will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
